The third week of the 2025 Spring season featured plenty of action across the Western Mass region. Teams battled through chilly conditions last week, but the temperature is forecasted rise in the coming days as the games continue to pick up.

Hampshire moves to the top of the rankings after a sterling week, winning all four of their matches and have maintained an unbeaten record through six games. The Raiders picked up heavyweight wins last week over Westfield on Friday, and Greenfield on Monday, flexing their muscles and proving they are the team to beat in Western Mass.

Frontier also impressed this past week and remain hot on the Raiders’ heels. Wins over Mount Greylock on Friday and Taconic on Tuesday highlight the Red Hawks’ improved play since their loss in the season opener against Hampshire on Mar. 28.

Turners Falls moves back into the top five after an up-and-down week that included key wins over Greenfield on Friday and over Mount Greylock on Tuesday. But the Thunders’ loss to Hopkin’s Academy on Monday indicates the team is still finding its feet early in the season.

Longmeadow and Hoosac Valley are the biggest risers after extremely successful runs this past week. The Lancers registered three wins in four games, following up their loss to Auburn on Friday with a statement win over South Hadley on Monday and a hard fought victory over Monson on Wednesday.

Meanwhile for the Hurricanes, the bats have been scorching hot and with the talent on deck, there’s no telling when this form will end. Hoosac Valley has scored over 80 runs through four games this season, highlighted this past week by the Hurricanes’ wins over Monument Mountain on Apr. 10 and over Lee on Monday.
